Honoring The Veterans Council of St. Johns County
Custom coins to mark 20 years of helping veterans
It’s important to remember the past and praise those who have sacrificed for our freedom. The Veterans Council of St. Johns County honors and helps those who have served in the United States military. The organization assists all veterans who have served in any of the military branches. We were honored to work with the Veterans Council of St. Johns County to create a special commemorative challenge coin celebrating their 20th anniversary.
The Veterans Council of St. Johns County is located in St. Augustine, Florida, and helps veterans through all facets of life. We worked hand in hand with the organization to create a memorable challenge coin representing veterans, the organization’s anniversary, and the historic St. Augustine National Cemetery.
The Details
The coin features a clean and defined aesthetic that includes many details related to the Veterans Council and the St. Augustine National Cemetery. The coin is a standard round design with different designs on the front and rear.
The face of the coin is colorless with a 3D image of the National Cemetery and its pyramids. The Dade Pyramids consist of three eight-foot-tall stone pyramids, dedicated to the casualties of the Florida Seminole Wars. The imagery is centered on the coin, bordered by text that reads: "The St. Augustine National Cemetery" on the top and "A Sacred Abiding Place" along the bottom. The art and text honor the cemetery and its importance to the Veterans Council.
The rear of the coin takes on a more colorful aesthetic. The center of the design features a silhouette of a saluting soldier with "Still Serving" added below. The background features the American flag, a silhouette of the state of Florida, and text representing the Veterans Council of St. Johns County. A border observing the Veterans Council's 20th anniversary encircles those elements.
This particular challenge coin is a stunning example of a commemorative challenge coin. It has meaning, and each element has significance. The coin flawlessly represents the Veterans Council of St. Johns County while honoring their work in the community. It's also a unique remembrance of the importance of St. Augustine National Cemetery.
